Hyderabad, Oct 26 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Sunday to brief him about the decisions taken by the State Cabinet recently.
Besides discussing the preparations for budget session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly beginning from November 5, the Chief Minister has reportedly informed the Governor of Telangana Government’s decision to move Supreme Court against Andhra Pradesh over the dispute over sharing of power between the two States. He also urged the governor to intervene to ensure that Telangana gets its due share of power from projects located in Andhra Pradesh, as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
KCR reportedly complained to the Governor that the AP Chief Minister was creating hurdles for the Telangana thereby causing power crisis in the new State. He also informed the Governor of decision taken during the meeting of Irrigation Department held earlier in the day. He said Telangana is being denied its due share in Srisailam, Krishnapatnam and Sileru projects as per the AP Reorganisation Act.
According to sources, the Governor has advised KCR to find an amicable solution to the ongoing controversies and also assured to speak to Chandrababu Naidu on the issue.
