Hyderabad, Aug 16 (INN): Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Saturday asked the Telangana Government to repeal obsolete and antiquated laws.
Speaking in a meeting organised by the Telangana Bar Association at Press Club, Basheerabagh, Kishan Reddy said there were several laws passed during the British Rule or adopted from their constitution which needs to be amended. He said those laws were not in accordance to the people of Telangana. Praising the role played by lawyers during Telangana movement, Kishan Reddy appealed to them to pressurise the State Government to repeal the laws of colonial-era.
Kishan Reddy also assured that he would represent to the Centre to establish separate High Court for Telangana at the earliest. Bar Association chairman Narasimha Reddy and others also spoke.
