Depressed with son’s ill-health, woman kills self

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (INN): Depressed due to the ill-health of her son, a 38-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison.

According to Vanasthalipuram police, the deceased, B Kavitha, took the extreme step at her residence in Chintalakunta on Saturday. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died a few hours after admission. Enquiries by the police revealed that she was worried and depressed over the deteriorating health of her son, a 10th class student and the same is suspected to be the reason behind suicide.

Man run over by speeding car

A worker of nursery died after being run over by a speeding car in Bowenpally police limits.

The accident occurred on Saturday night when the deceased, P Nageshwar Rao, 56, was sleeping outside his workplace in Bowenpally. He suffered grievous injuries after being run over by a car. He was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he was declared dead on admission. A case of negligent driving has been registered against the car driver.

Housewife succumb to burn injuries

A 28-year-old woman died of burn injuries which she accidentally suffered at her residence in Talabkatta of Aman Nagar.

The deceased, Rehana Begum, accidentally caught fire while trying to burn ants after sprinkling kerosene on them at her residence on June 30. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment where she died on Saturday night.
