Committee to continue deliberations on new capital

Hyderabad, June 14 : The Sivaramakrishna Committee, which was set up to finalise the location of new capital of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh, will continue its exercise of holding consultations with experts on the issue.

The Committee members, who met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday, said that the location for the new capital is yet to be finalised. However, they said that the State Government may take the final call on the location of new capital. They also denied reports that Naidu suggested new capital between Vijayawada and Guntur cities.

The committee members said that the location for new capital would be finalised by August 31 this year. The committee will visit Central Andhra in the next two-three weeks.  INN
