KCR leaves for Delhi on two-day tour

Hyderabad, June 6 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday left for New Delhi on a two-day visit.

This is KCR’s maiden tour to the national capital after assuming charge as the first chief minister of Telangana State. During his two-day visit, KCR will meet President of India Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other Union Ministers. Besides seeking Centre’s assistance in development of Telangana State, KCR is likely to raise the issue of ordinance on Polavaram which facilitated merger of seven mandals of Khammam district with Seemandhra.

KCR is also likely to seek Special Status for Telangana on par with residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. He has prepared a separate wish-list for different departments and would insist upon the Union Ministers to extend full cooperation to his government in Telangana.  INN
