GHMC to launch special drive to remove debris

Hyderabad, June 6 : The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has decided to launch a special drive to remove debris from the city.

The GHMC Standing Committee has accorded approval for hiring of six tonner tippers for the removal of accumulated debris in all 150 wards. Accordingly, the GHMC has selected five agencies for each Zone through tender process for hiring of six tonner tippers with four labourers for 10 days. Each vehicle will make daily five trips to remove the debris. The Zonal and Deputy Commissioners will coordinate the launch and daily monitoring of the debris removing vehicles.

Each of these vehicles will be fitted with the GPS to effective monitoring. For each ward, an in-charge officer has been designated to take OSRT photo’s before and after dumping at designated sites. They will also ensure that the main roads and colony roads in specific are cleared of debris.  INN
