Hyderabad, June 3: Rajya Sabha member and TRS Secretary General K Keshava Rao has been elected as the leader of TRS Parliamentary Party.
Presently, Keshava Rao is the lone MP representing Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the Rajya Sabha. Likewise, AP Jithender Reddy, the Mahabubnagar MP, has been elected as the TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha while Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar will be Deputy Leader. Warangal MP Kadiam Srihari will be TRS Whip in the Lok Sabha.
The TRS had won 11 Lok Sabha seats in the recent elections. However, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao resigned from the Medak Lok Sabha seat after his election as the leader of TRS Legislature Party which enabled him to become the first Chief Minister of Telangana. This has necessitated by-elections in Medak Lok Sabha seat.
The other MPs of TRS are BB Patil (Zahirabad), Balka Suman (Peddapalle), Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud (Bhongir), Godam Nagesh (Adilabad), Kalvakuntla Kavitha (Nizamabad), Konda Vishweshwar Reddy (Chelvella) and Prof Azmeera Seetaram Naik (Mahabubabad). (INN)
