Violence in Lok Sabha was Congress game plan: BJP

New Delhi, Feb 13 : Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj has condemned the incidents of violence in the Lok Sabha on Thursday and said that some MPs have crossed all the limits.

Blaming the Congress party for the incident, Sushma Swaraj said that there was ruckus one minute before Speaker Meira Kumar entered the House and the pro-Telangana and Seemandhra MPs almost came to blows. There was more ruckus after the Speaker’s arrival.

Alleging that it was all part of the Congress game plan, she said that the spray was released as the UPA Government wanted to create chaos forcing everyone to leave the House. She claimed that the Bill was not introduced as per due procedure. “I was there till the spray was released and don’t know when the Speaker came and the Bill was introduced. No papers were laid in the House and it was not included in the day’s agenda,” she said.

Sushma Swaraj said that the BJP was not against the introduction of the Bill. “But we never imagined that the Bill would be introduced in such a way. We will not talk to the government in any form,” she said.

The BJP leader asked the Congress party to set its house in order. Accusing the ruling party of enacting the “drama of suspending its own MPs”, she said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy who openly opposed the Government’s decision was let to continue in office. She said that the Congress party has been doing these keeping elections in mind. At one side, it wants to please the Telangana people by tabling the Bill and on the other side, it wants to make Seemandhra people happy by not passing the Bill.  INN
