A blot on democracy, says LS Speaker

New Delhi, Feb 13: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Thursday strongly condemned the use of pepper spray and other violent acts in the House by Seemandhra MPs.

The Speaker, who looked quite upset, described the incident as a blot on the Parliamentary democracy which is admired throughout the world. “I’m too much in pain. This has ashamed us,” she said.

The Speaker said that she would have consultation on what action should be taken against the erring MPs.
