Nama demands LS debate on Brijesh Kumar Tribunal’s verdict

New Delhi, Dec 5 : Telugu Desam Parliamentary Leader Nama Nageshwara Rao on Thursday served a notice to Speaker Meira Kumar requesting her to take up discussions in the Lok Sabha on the verdict of Brijesh Kumar Tribunal on sharing of Krishna River waters.

Nageshwara Rao contended that injustice has been done to Andhra Pradesh due to the Tribunal’s verdict on sharing of surplus water. He said several irrigation projects in the State would be hit due to this decision. He urged the Speaker to allow discussion on the issue by cancelling the Question House in the winter session of the Parliament which began here on Thursday. INN
