Hyderabad, Nov 28 : Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Thursday accused the opposition parties of trying to politicise the natural disasters like cyclones.
Speaking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Gandra said that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have been touring the cyclone affected areas to gain political mileage. He said their visits were causing obstructions in the relief works. He advised them not to politicise the devastations caused due to nature’s fury.
Gandra also informed that he wrote a letter to the Group of Ministers seeking increase in number of Assembly seats in Telangana from 119 to 153. Further, he said that the Union Home Ministry has been requested to initiate steps to withdraw the cases registered during Telangana statehood agitation. INN
