Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A delegation of ministers from Telangana region called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday evening requesting him to convene the Assembly session as soon as the Telangana Bill draft is sent by the Centre.
Speaking to media persons after meeting the Governor, Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy said that any delay in convening the Assembly session to discuss Telangana Bill would cause unrest among the people and would strengthen the speculations that some Seemandhra leaders were trying to stall the process of Telangana formation. He said that the Governor has been requested to convene the session without any delay after the Bill’s draft gets the nod of President of India.
Besides Jana Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ministers – DK Aruna, Dr J Geetha Reddy, Basvaraj Saraiah, Uttam Kumar and Government Chief Whip Gadra Venkatramana Reddy were part of the delegation. INN
