Anantapur, Nov 21 (INN): The Karnataka police on Thursday took a man into custody, who is suspected to be the ATM attacker who assaulted a bank manager in Bengaluru two days ago.
The unidentified suspect was taken into custody in Hindupur of Anantapur district while he was making a call from the cell phone of an unknown person. He is being questioned by the police while he also being identified with the help of the footage of CCTV camera of ATM. He is suspected to be the same person who assaulted a 38-year-old woman, a manager of Corporation Bank, inside the ATM. The victim was grievously injured and undergoing treatment at a hospital. The doctors had conducted plastic and brain surgeries. Her right side has been paralysed in the attack.
The suspect is said be a resident of Hindupur.
