SLPRB selects 4,070 for Police Constables’ posts

Hyderabad, Nov 20 : The State Level Police Recruitment Board on Wednesday informed that with reference to the notification issued on December 31, 2012 and supplementary notification issued on November 13 this year, as many as 4,070 candidates have been provisionally selected to the posts of SCT Police Constables (Civil/AR/APSP), Constables (Men) in SPF Dept. and Firemen in A.P. Fire & Emergency Services Dept.

The list of selected candidates has been uploaded to www.apstatepolice.org. As total of 953 number of posts are not filled due to non-availability of eligible candidates.

According to the SLPRB, a total of 16,499 candidates appeared for written examination and 7,922 qualified in the same. Of 4,070 candidates, 1912 have been selected for SCT (Civil-Men); 561 for Armed Reserved (Men); 36 for APSP (Men); 4 for SPF; 77 as Firemen in AP Fire and Emergency Services Dept; 1,423 (Civil-Women) and 57 (AR-Women).

Hyderabad is on top with 1997 constables followed by Cyberabad (231), Vizianagaram (118), Visakhapatnam Rural (113), Warangal Urban (107), Guntur Urban (99), Rajahmundry Urban (97), Tirupati Urban (89), East Godavari (84), Guntur Rural (82), Vijayawada city (82), Ranga Reddy (79), Chittoor (78), West Godavari (75), Visakhapatnam city (73), Krishna (71), Nalgonda (64), Karimnagar (57), Medak (56), Prakasam (50), Adilabad (47), Khammam (47), Warangal Rural (46), Mahaboobnagar (43), Srikakulam (38), Nizamabad (38), Nellore (29), Kadapa (24), Kurnool (8), Guntur (5), Anantapur (2) and Visakhapatnam (1).

While 19 constables have been selected for 16th Battalion of APSP, 14 were selected for 17th Battalion and one each for 1st, 3rd and 9th Battalions. Four constables have also been selected for Special Protection Force. INN
