New Delhi, Nov 16 : CPI General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy on Saturday praised YSR Congress Party Jagan Mohan Reddy’s efforts to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
Speaking to media persons after meeting the YSRCP-delegation led by Jagan here, Suravaram said that although his party was in favour of Telangana formation, it condemns that process adopted by the Centre to divide the State. He said that the Centre did not take all stakeholders into confidence before implementing the decision. He made it clear that he differs with the YSRCP stand on Telangana. However, he said that the Centre should implement the division process in a cordial atmosphere. He said that the CPI would not allow any injustice to be done with the people of Seemandhra region.
Suravaram also said that the Center should not be allowed to misuse the Article 3 in dividing the State. He said any abuse of Article 3 in division Andhra Pradesh would set a bad precedent and it would be continued by the Centre to change the boundaries of others States in India. He said steps should be taken to prevent any misuse of Article 3. INN
