Met Dept issues heavy rainfall warning

Hyderabad, Oct 24 : The India Meteorological Department on Thursday issued a fresh heavy rainfall warning for Andhra Pradesh.

“Heavy to very heavy rain at a few places with extremely heavy rain at isolated places would occur in all the districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during next 48 hrs. Heavy to very heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Rayalaseema during the same period,” the Met Department said.

It said that the North-East monsoon has been vigorous over South-Coastal Andhra Pradesh and active over Rayalaseema. The well-marked low pressure area over South-Coastal Andhra Pradesh adjoining West-Central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood now lies over coastal AP and adjoining areas of Telangana and Rayalaseema.
