Hyderabad, Oct 7 : Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy on Monday appealed to different employees unions to end the strike that they launched in protest against Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana.
Talking to reporters after Cabinet Sub-Committee held talks with the teachers; RTC and electricity departments unions at the State Secretariat, Anam said that people with vested interest and anti-social elements were trying to exploit the situation arising out of strike by the employees. Therefore, he appealed to the unions to call of their strike immediately.
Anam said that people were being forced to face hardship in festive season due to the strike by the employees of different unions, especially the electricity and RTC department. He assured that the demands of employees on strike would be considered in consultation with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. INN
