One person held for accepting cricket betting for Champions League T20

Hyderabad, Sept 21 : The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team on a tip of information on Sept 20 apprehended one person who is accepting Cricket bettings from the punters and giving line to the customers for the ongoing Champions League T20 Qualifying Cricket Match played between ‘Faisalabad Wolves & Kanduratha Maroons’ at Mohali over Cellphones.

The accused Arun Kumar Sharma S/o Late Ramavatar Sharma, aged 33 yrs, Occ: Business and Betting, r/o Flat No.204, Bagiratha Apartments, Om Nagar, Darusalam Road, Nampally, Hyderabad

The above accused person was found accepting cricket betting from the known and unknown punters over cell phones for the ongoing Champions League T20 Qualifying Cricket Match played between ‘Faisalabad Wolves & Kanduratha Maroons’ at Mohali by watching the TV and with the help of Live Line Setup arranged in Brown Colour Suit Case containing cellphones.

On credible information, on Sept 20 night, the Central Zone Task Force Team raided on Flat No. 204, Bagiratha Apartments, Om Nagar, Darusalam Road, Begum Bazar, Hyderabad and apprehended the accused Arun Kumar Sharma and seized (1) One Black Colour LCD 204 TV, (2) One Brown Colour Leather VIP Suit Case with line set-up with connections containing Reliance & Tata Indicom Cell Phones – 13 No.s (3) One Airtel Setup Box with Remote, (4) Two Cell phones (5) Net Cash of Rs 2,000 (6) Two Scribbiling Pads & (7) Two Blue Colour Ball pens, (which were used in accepting betting on cricket match) from the possession of the accused person. The accused along with the seized material was handed over to the SHO, Begum Bazar Police Station for taking further necessary action.
