Hyderabad, August 21 : Former minister Konda Surekha on Wednesday advised the people of Seemandhra region to be cautious against YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to reporters here, Surekha said that unlike his late father Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan was not a man of his words. She slammed Jagan for taking a U-turn on the Telangana issue. Despite supporting statehood for the region during the plenary session, Jagan went back on his words after the Congress Working Committee announced formation of Telangana State.
Surekha said that she came out of the YSR Congress party after it betrayed the Telangana people by making all its legislators resign en masse from their posts. She said the self-respect of Telangana people was more important for her than any party of posts. INN
