Hyderabad, August 19 : The counseling process for admission into various engineering courses that began across the State on Monday was badly hit in all the districts of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions due to Samaikhyandhra agitation.
The officials were forced to stop counseling in several parts of the Seemandhra region as Polytechnic teachers boycotted their duties in protest against the proposed division of State. Although the certificate verification taken up in 56 centres across the State was on, the selection procedure was delayed due to the protests and boycott.
Meanwhile, the officials submitted a detailed report on the counseling in Seemandhra region to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy here on Monday. INN
