Hyderabad, Aug 3 : Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy on Saturday said that the creation of two Telugu States should be seen with a positive perspective instead of treating it like a division of Telugu people.
Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan, Jana Reddy said that nothing could break unity among Telugus. However, he said two regions were being given statehood following differences on economic issues. Therefore, he said that the formation of Telangana should be good news for all Telugus.
Jana Reddy further said that the lives and properties of people from Andhra and Rayalaseema were completely safe in Telangana and all Telugus would get equal status in the new States.
When asked about the recent comments of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao asking employees from Andhra region to leave Hyderabad, he said all measures would be taken to counter such provocation.
Earlier, Jana Reddy along with ministers and legislators from Telangana region called on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and later met PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana at Gandhi Bhavan. INN
