Hyderabad, Aug 3 : Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Saturday accused TDP and YSR Congress party leaders of inciting violence in the Seemandhra regions to defame the ruling party.
Talking to reporters here, Vivekananda Reddy said that the TDP and YSRCP activists vandalised the statues of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions and shifted the blame on Congress workers. He said the on-going violence in the region was aimed at defaming the Congress party.
However, Vivekananda Reddy said that agitation in Seemandhra region was genuine and people were voluntarily participating in peaceful protests. He alleged that KCR acts on the directions of naxalites and the said unlike KCR, the people of Seemandhra regions were participating in the agitation due to their love for Telugu Talli.
He alleged that the excess force was being used to control agitation in Seemandhra region. He also alleged that innocent people were being harassed by the security forces. INN
