Kharge to lay foundation stone for rail-bridge across Bennithora River

Hyderabad, July 22 : Railways Minister Mallikarjun Kharge will lay foundation stone for a Rail Bridge across Bennithora River on Bidar-Gulbarga new Railway line on Tuesday at 02 00 PM at a function to be held at Community Hall, Mahagaon, Gulbarga.

Several public representatives, dignitaries and senior railway official will be present on the occasion.

The new BG line project was sanctioned in 1998-99 with an estimated cost of Rs 369.70 Crores. The total length of Railway track is 110.40 Km between Khanapur-Gulbarga Stations and 60 Km track has been linked/engine rolled by March, 2013 While the revised cost of the project is Rs. 792 Crores, an amount of Rs 383 Crores were spent till June 2013.
