Pay property tax before July 31, avail 2 per cent interest waiver: GHMC

Hyderabad, July 18 : GHMC in-charge Commissioner Navin Mittal, IAS, has informed that the citizens can pay their property tax before July 31, 2013 and avail 2 per cent interest waiver failing which the interest will be levied from August 1, 2013 onwards.

The I/c Commissioner has informed that the property tax demand bills for the year 2013-14 are being served, However the demand of property tax on every property is available in GHMC website www.ghmc.gov.in. He further appealed the tax payers to pay their property tax as per the demand in GHMC website without waiting for the property tax bill and avoid the attraction of 2 per cent of interest w.e.f August 1, 2013 under section 269 of the GHMC act.

Tax payers can pay their taxes through online/RTGS/NEFT, Meeseva, AP online payment gateways ICICI, Citizen Service Centres and bill collectors, he added. INN
