Hyderabad, July 18 : The nine member delegation of Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) participated in a huge global Conference and Business Fair at Minneapolis in United States of America organized by Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). It is termed as the biggest gathering of women entrepreneurs exchanging information through B2Bs matchmaking sessions.
WBENC is the America’s leader in women’s business development and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women, with over 11,000 WBENC-Certified WBEs. WBENC certification is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and other entities.
The Council provides women business enterprise certification, educational, networking, procurement-related, and informational programs and services that foster growth and business opportunities between WBEs and purchasing entities.
COWE delegation lead by its President Soudhamini just returned to the city. During their visit to you USA, we had open discussions about updated software ICD 10 for medical billing with Kaiser company which deals in health insurance, informed Soudhamini, who owns K2, a medical transcription company.
Goli Syamala, GS Digital Dream Designer Pvt. Ltd an entrepreneur in Animation had invitations from studios like Warner bros., Nickelodeon and Disney studios and shared the technical issues. She also met Bruce W. Smith who is a creator of Dr. Facilier character in Princess and Frag Animation movie and he is a great director in Disney Tools Studio. Also met few directors in Nickelodeon who are creators of power puff girls, SpongeBob, poppy, puss in boots (Shrek 2).
Another delegate A Subhashini had discussions with construction companies for supply of granite products. COWE’s overseas members also participated in this event.
Study tour arranged to know about Famous Anthony Dam, how it will be useful to water supply to entire Minneapolis. The delegation also interacted with American Telugu Association (ATA) and its members, invited the Asian Origin settlers there to attend the event in India and Hyderabad. They also were invited to spend one day for COWE members in Hyderabad.
The delegation COWE met the New York Association of Asian Restaurants and Motel, President Anu Agarwal and Mayor of Michael Bloomberg. He explained that how the New York’s economy is being supported by Indians hard work. INN
