PR polls notification in 15 days: Jana Reddy

Hyderabad, June 16: The notification for the elections to the Panchayat bodies across the State will be issued in the next 15 days.

Talking to reporters here, Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy said that the process for issuing notification for the Panchayat polls has already been set in motion. However, he said that the elections would not be held on party symbols.

The Panchayat elections will be followed by the elections to the mandal and zilla parishad, which would have greater impact on 2014 Assembly elections. As many as 2.50 lakh people would be elected to various Panchayat Raj, local bodies and urban bodies during the elections.
