CM inaugurates photo exhibition on sanitation campaign

Hyderabad, June 12 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated a photo exhibition in the Assembly premises on total sanitation campaign by UNICEF and Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The ‘Intita Parishudhyam’ is conceived and planned by the District Administration, Medak for providing complete access to sanitation facilities in rural habitations on saturation mode by involving all the stakeholders. The people centric programme is aimed at providing access to individual sanitary latrine for over one lakh households in 502 villages across 46 Mandals in the District.

The scheme is being implemented by the District Water & Sanitation Committee with the involvement of people’s representatives, officials, SHG women, Community Based Organisations (CBO’s) and general public at every stage.
