CM asks Govt Departments to speed up recruitment

Hyderabad, April 27 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy asked various Government departments to consolidate the vacancies and speed up the exercise at the earliest.

Under the directions of the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Smt Minnie Mathew on Saturday held a review meeting with Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of different departments to review the progress for notification of vacancies of Govt. jobs for the year 2012-13. Majority of the Different departments have already reported about 63,621 vacancies while some of the departments will submit their proposals in a couple of days. The Chief Secretary directed the departments to complete the exercise and report the vacancies to the Finance Department. The Finance Department will consolidate and take approval of the Chief Minister in a single file to expedite the notification by the recruiting agencies.

The Chief Secretary has also reviewed the progress made in the earlier recruitment drive and it is reported that selection for most of the posts are at advanced stage. Some of the departments and the number of vacancies reported by them so far (as on 27-04-2013) are as follows: School Education – 20,790; Police – 10, 730; CCLA – 6, 095; Intermediate Education -4,898; Transco & Discoms – 3,208; Family Welfare – 2,234; AP Genco – 1,303; APVVP – 974; Medical Education – 963; Fire Services – 886; Ayush – 729; Collegiate Education – 685; Residential Education – 684; Forest – 600; Employment & Training – 577; Commercial Taxes – 573; Treasuries – 407; Prisons – 383; Excise – 364; Survey & Land Records – 342; Animal Husbandry – 290; Town Planning – 288; Technical Education – 286; Irrigation (AW) – 277; Agriculture – 236; Public Health – 225; Civil Supplies Corporation – 223; SAAP – 194; Special Protection Force – 185; Endowments – 180; Horticulture University – 167; APCO – 162; R&B – 135; Finance (Director of Insurance) – 113; G.A.D. – 104 and Finance-Works and Accounts – 103.
