TV artistes sent to jail

Hyderabad, April 15 : Six persons arrested television artistes in connection with the attack on a TV cahnnel office were today sent to Chanchalguda jail.

Of the six persons arrested two are women. They allegedly attacked the office of Maa TV and a studio where the shooting of dubbing serials was in progress and pelted stones breaking the panes of the studio. A case was registered and they were sent to jail.

Television artistes are on indefinite strike demanding the ban on dubbing serials as they are affecting their livelihood.

A group of artistes attacked the studio and office of a channel on April 12. There were also protests at studios where dubbing serials are being picturised. Movie Artistes Assocaition (MAA) has extended its support to the TV artistes. INN
