Hyderabad, February 21: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy announced Rs 6 lakh ex-gratia for the families of those killed in the twin blast at Disukhnagar on Thursday. The injured will be paid compensation from Rs 50,000 to Rs One lakh.
Addressing a press conference after visiting the blasts’ site, the Chief Minister expressed shock and grief over the incident. “It is an unfortunate incident. We condemn the act of terrorism on innocent people. This is only to disturb the peaceful living of all communities in Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
The Chief Minister announced that those responsible for the blasts would not be spared. He said that special teams were being constituted to probe into the blasts. However, he said that it would be improper to jump to conclusions on who could be behind the blasts.
Kiran Kumar Reddy said officials have been directed to extend all help to the victims.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that he would be visiting the city on Friday.
