Congress Govt taking personal revenge against us: Asad Owaisi

Sangareddy, January 24 : MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday accused the Congress Government of taking political vendetta against his party’s leaders.

Talking to reporters after being released on bail from Sangareddy Jail, the MIM president said that all those who opposed Congress were being sent to jail. Comparing his case with YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, he said both were sent to jail only because they opposed the ruling party.

The MIM president alleged that the Congress Government was murdering the democracy by joining hands with the BJP in the State. He said that the government launched a “personal revenge campaign” against the MIM leaders. “People should see the arrest of mine and in the context of Akbar’s arrest also. Both arrest were made to take personal revenge against us and our party,” he said.

Later, Asauddin Owaisi reached Hyderabad in a procession and offered Asar evening prayers at AC Guards Mosque. He then proceeded to his house at Himayathnagar. He will also address a public meeting at Darulssalaam later in the evening. INN
