CM condoles Gujral’s demise, pays tributes to him

Hyderabad, Nov 30 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday expressed anguish over the demise of former Prime Minister Mr Inder Kumar Gujral.

Paying rich tributes to the departed leader, the Chief Minister recalled late Mr Gujral’s services not only as Prime Minister of India, but also as Union Minister for Finance, External Affairs, Communications and Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Broadcasting, Works and Housing, Water Resources.

Kiran Kumar Reddy said Mr Gujral was a veteran freedom fighter, an able administrator and Parliamentarian, senior politician and a socialist. He said Mr Gujral was a great admirer of Urdu poetry and poets and can also speak fluently in Urdu. He stated that Mr Gujral has written books such as ‘The Foreign Policies for India’ and said in the death of Mr Gujral, the nation lost an intellectual leader and senior politician.

The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
