Venkaiah Naidu offers puja at Khairtabad Ganesh

Hyderabad, Sept 7 (INN): Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu offered puja to the city’s largest Ganesh idol at Khairtabad here on Sunday.

Speaking to media persons later, Venkaiah Naidu said that Ganesh festival was started by Bal Gangadhar Tilak to mobilise people against the British regime. The festival made a huge contribution in the freedom struggle and now it has become a great symbol of unity among people. He informed that he has prayed to Lord Ganesha for the development of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

BJP senior leaders including Bandaru Dattatreyya, Dr K Lakshman and Chintala Ramchander Reddy were also present.
