BJP challenges Asad Owaisi to contest from Amberpet

Hyderabad, March 3 : BJP State President G Kishan Reddy on Monday challenged MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi to contest against him from Amberpet Assembly segment if the latter was so confident about his popularity.

Speaking to media persons here, Kishan Reddy criticised the statehment of MIM President wherein he challenged BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to contest from Hyderabad. He said that Asaduddin Owaisi’s stature was much low compared to Modi or LK Advani. He said an ordinary BJP worker could take on Owaisi and he should contest from Amberpet and win to prove his might. There are nearly 50,000 Muslims voters in Amberpet and a majority of them would vote for the BJP, he claimed.

Kishan Reddy said that MIM brought no development in the Old City despite winning seats for the last so many decades. He said Owaisi was making statements as if MIM was a national party. He also ridiculed Owaisi’s call for secularism and without taking the name of Akbaruddin Owaisi, he said that the MIM’s leader who delivered speeches against Hindu Gods was still speaking in the same tone.

The BJP leader also informed that party’s national president Rajnath Singh would tour Hyderabad on March 11. The party is also organising a meeting on March 6 at Exhibition Grounds to discuss the issues to be included in BJP manifesto for Telangana.  INN
