Over 12 lakh appear for VRO, VRA exams

Hyderabad, Feb 2 : Over 12 lakh candidates appeared for the examinations for direct recruitment of Village Revenue Officers and Village Revenue Assistants in Revenue Department held across the State on Sunday.

As many as 14,14,006 candidates had applied for 1,657 VRO and 4,305 VRA posts. While 13.13 lakh applications were received for VRA posts, 63,786 people had applied for VRA posts. As many as 37,918 candidates had applied for both the posts. Of them, 13,49,375 VRA applicants and 100,579 VRA aspirants had downloaded the hall tickets.

A total of 11,84,234 (87.76%) candidates appeared for VRO exams held at 3,684 centres across the State. Similarly, 88,609 (88.10%) wrote the exam for VRA posts at 195 Centres. As many as five cases of impersonation were booked across the State with one case each in Vizianagaram, Warangal, Prakasam, Medak and Nalgonda.

The Primary Key of the exams will be released on February 4. The Revenue Department has started a helpline number 040-23201530 to assist the candidates. INN
