Undavalli asks MPs to oppose T-Bill

Hyderabad, Feb 2 : Rajahmundry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar on Sunday appealed to the Members of Parliament across party lines to reject the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill.

Speaking at a meeting organised by Andhra Pradesh Journalists’ Forum here, Undavalli said that the MPs should honour the decision of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly which rejected the Bill through a unanimous resolution. He said that smaller States were formed only with the consent of concerned State Legislative Assemblies. Citing an example, he said that Jharkhand State was formed only after a unanimous resolution was passed by the Bihar Assembly.

Undavalli also claimed that Telangana agitation was not 60 years old but was started in 1999. INN
