Suspending MLAs shows Cong. TDP in hurry: Jagan

Paklala (Chittoor dist), Jan 10 : The degradation of political values have come to the fore in the State Assembly with the suspension of YSRCP MLAs for raising the banner of a united state and the Delhi arrogance should be fought tooth and nail giving Telugu pride a victory of 30 MP seats in the ensuing elections, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said.

“The arrogant Congress Government has suspended Party floor leader YS Vijayamma along with all MLAs and took them to police station as they firmly stood for Samaikyandhra while the Congress and TDP, which have ganged up, went ahead to expedite the division process and have immediately taken up discussion on the draft Bill in the absence of our Party,” YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said while addressing a public meeting here on Friday.

While such an important issue being taken up in the House neither Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy nor leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu appear in the assembly and those who voice the feelings of the 70 % of people are evicted out of the House to take up the Bill, which has come to the State against the established parliamentary procedures, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu is at his worst in conducting himself as the leader of opposition. Instead of pointedly questioning Sonia Gandhi as to how can the state be divided without taking the assembly into confidence, he joins her in the process and without leaving his chamber has been encouraging his MLAs to speak as per their regional affiliations.

The Chief Minister on the other hand has been loyal to Sonia Gandhi and has been carrying out her orders obediently and if any one questions the rationale behind the division or demands to send back the Bill which harms the interests of over 70 % of the population, they will be suspended and taken to police station.

This is the type of politics that are in play in the State even as the nation has understood that gross injustice is being done to Andhra Pradesh. Still Sonia Gandhi is going ahead with the division to see her son as Prime Minister at the cost of the future of our children who will be deprived of Hyderabad and jobs in the capital city developed by us over the past 60 years.

Chandrababu Naidu, who has been seeking packages in lieu of division, had the audacity to say that the youth can go Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for jobs. “Such leaders have no outlook and are only interested in short term gains. When we have our own state why should the youth go to other states and become second class citizens,” he asked.

Farmers will be the worst hit as water will become a scarce commodity and the upper riparian states will squeeze every drop of it and the left over will drip in a scanty measure.

The Bill itself is a symbol of Delhi dictatorship. In normal cases, an assembly resolution is first adopted to separate any state which will be sent to the Centre which in turn sends a draft Bill through the President to discuss the nitty-gritty.

“It always happened that way but when it came to our state, Delhi has taken a decision and divided the state and has sent the Bill for discussion. There is no assembly resolution and when YSRCP talks of the procedure the party MLAs are suspended and baseless allegations are being levelled against them.

Now the situation is clear as to who are for Samaikyandhra. Those who are debating the Bill are in total agreement for the division. We opposed the division and we are sent out of the Assembly and Council.

The slogan that has been reverberating from Kuppam to Srikakulam is Samaikyandhra and very soon elections will come and the force of unity should reflect in the mandate and teach the divisive forces a lesson. After getting a mandate we will decide as to who will be the Prime Minister and we will support a candidate who agrees to keep the state united,” he said.

The Samaikya Sankharavam Yatra on its 13th day will roll over Chandragiri and Putalapattu assembly constituencies. INN
