Tamper proof e-Pass books to replace Pattedar Pass Books

Hyderabad, Jan 4 : Revenue Minister Dr N Raghuveera Reddy on Saturday informed the State Legislative Assembly on Saturday that the State Government proposes to replace Pattadar Pass Books with tamper proof PPBs.

Replying to a question raised by TDP MLA R Chandrasekhar Reddy during Question Hour, the minister said that the project would be implemented in three districts of Ananthapur, Warangal and Prakasamon on pilot basis, n furtherance to the project of issue of e-Pattadar Pass Books to assure tamper proof e-Pass Book. Once the legality of modernisation is established, the issuing of e-Pattadar Pass Books will take place.

The minister also said that there was proposal to integrate the Revenue and Registration Departments to update the records. The land record data of Revenue and Registration Departments are integrated to update land records and once the transaction is registered, automatic transfer proposal for mutation will be carried at Tahsildar level a per provisions of AP Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971.

The entire process of issue of fool proof e-Pattadar Pass Books is being done for more transparency. The integration of land records data of Revenue and Registration Department, total updation of records by automatic mutations will result in transparency, security and time bound issue of records and this will protect the interest of land owners and will reduce or avoid litigations, he said.
