Uttam Kumar Reddy congratulated Meira Kumar on her being nominated as UPA candidate for prestigious Presidential elections. He thanked her for her role in the formation of Telangana. He said Meira Kumar has a special place in the hearts of people of Telangana as the Bill to create the new State was passed while she was the Lok Sabha Speaker. He assured her of total support from all Congress MLAs and MPs from Telangana.
Leaders of Opposition K. Jana Reddy (Assembly) and Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Council), MLAs Dr. J. Geetha Reddy, N. Padmavathi and Vamshi Chand Reddy, MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and CPI leader Venkat Reddy were part of the delegation.
Later, Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with his wife and MLA Padmavathi, also met senior leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel to wish them on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. (INN)
