Hyderabad, Aug 17 (INN): Taking strong objection for not sending an invite for the All-Party meeting, Telangana YSR Congress has said that it would continue to fight for the people’s cause.
“The Chief Minister’s Office has sent invites for an All Party meeting scheduled for August 20 but has not included YSRCP in it though we are recognized political party,” party leader K Shiva Kumar told reporters here on Wednesday.
He said that the YSRCP had won one MP and three MLA seats in the 2014 elections and were invited for the first All Party meeting which was convened last year to discuss on GO nos 58 and 59 and the second such meeting which is to be held later this month, they YSRCP representatives were not invited. This is not in the best interest of parliamentary democracy, he said.
“Even the solitary CPM member who won with our support from Bhadrachalam was invited. Our party did not get the invite for the Independence Day programme as well,” he said. (INN)
