Will oppose SBH merger into SBI: Etala

Hyderabad, Aug 17 (INN): Finance Minister Etala Rajender said that the TS government was opposed to the merger of SBH into the SBI.

Eatala said that the SBH was a Telangana Bank and was in existence prior to 1956. Speaking to media persons here, the minister said that the SBH operated from the Nizam times. On a question that if Telangana Assembly would pass a Assembly resolution on the lines of Kerala Assembly opposing State Bank of Travencore’s merger with SBI, to oppose the SBH merger, the Finance Minister said that there was no such proposal. However, he said that a final decision would be taken after discussing the issue with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. (INN)
