Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): The Telangana Congress leaders have expressed confidence that they would win both the Graduates Constituencies of Telangana Legislative Council which are going to polls on March 16.
The Congress party handed over B-forms to its candidates Ravi Gupta and Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, popularly known as Teenmaar Mallanna, at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday. While Ravi Gupta is the candidates from Mahaboobnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad Graduates constituency, Teenmaar Mallana is the candidate from Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates constituency.
Speaking to media persons later, AICC Secretary Ramchandra Khuntia said that the elections for Graduates constituencies used to be a non-political affair in the past. However, with the TRS and BJP announcing their candidates, the Congress party too was forced to enter the fray. He expressed hopes that both the Congress candidates would win the elections with a thumping majority.
Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy, TPCC Working President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Vice-President Mohammed Ali Shabbir and other leaders were also present on the occasion. They appealed to the Graduates of all six districts to vote for the Congress candidates Ravi Gupta and Teenmaar Mallana.
