Hyderabad, Feb 19 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao has requested the South Central Railways to put on priority doubling the Railway Line between Guntur and Guntakal in the existing Railway Projects.
The Chief Secretary reviewed on the existing Railway Projects in Andhra Pradesh with the Chief Administrative Officer, Construction, South Central Railways, here on Thursday.
The Kadapa – Pendlimari, Kotipalli – Narasapuram, Kakinada – Pithapuram, Nadikudi – Srikalahasthi, Gooty – Dharmavaram railway projects were reviewed in the meeting. The doubling the Railway line between Vijayawada – Gudivada – Machilipatnam – Bhimavaram – Narasapuram – Nidadavolu, Guntur – Tenali was also discussed.
The Railway Officials informed that survey has been completed for doubling the Railway line between Guntur and Guntakal.
The Chief Secretary has issued instructions to the Prl. Secretary TR&B to put up a letter to the Chairman, Railway Board for taking up the projects Guntur-Guntakal, Pithapuram-Kakinda and Nadikudi-Srikalahasthi, on priority.
SCR Construction CAO Boolchandani, CE Vijay Kitike, senior officials of AP Government Anil Punetha, B. Sam Bob, Ajeya Kallam, J.C. Sharma and others attended the meeting.
