AP gives 43% fitment to govt employees

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Government has announced a 43% fitment for government employees after discussion with Cabinet sub-committee and APNGOs leaders on Monday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said.

Addressing media persons at the Secretariat on Monday evening, the Chief Minister said that this would come into force from the official date of bifurcation of the state.

The sub-committee headed by Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu will take a call on implementation of the recommendation of the 10th Pay Revision Commission (PRC), the Chief Minister said.

“Despite Andhra Pradesh facing several challenges after unscientific bifurcation, we have taken this decision to fulfill the aspirations of our employees,” he said.

According to the Chief Minister, the state is staring at a revenue deficit. “We have innumerable challenges. I have spoken about this at the Chief Minister’s meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi yesterday.”

Further to the meeting in New Delhi, the Chief Minister told media persons that he has got the assurance from Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley about financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh.
