All set for Haj Camp from Sept 12

Hyderabad, Sept 10 (INN): Elaborate arrangements are in place for the Haj Camp 2014 scheduled to begin at Haj House at Nampally on September 12.

As many as 5,865 Haj pilgrims will depart for Holy Mecca from Hyderabad Embarkation Point through 18 direct flights from September 14 to 28th. The number of pilgrims is likely to rise as the Haj Committee of India is expected to clear some more applications in the wailing list. The first flight will leave for Jeddah at 11.30 AM on September 14 and Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali will flag off the first batch of pilgrims at the Haj House at 7.30 AM.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to flag off the second batch of pilgrims on September 15 although his participation is yet to be confirmed. The pilgrims leaving from Hyderabad Embarkation Point hail from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Bidar and Gulbarga districts of Karnataka. The pilgrims of Anantapur and Kadapa will depart for the holy journey from Bangalore airport.

According to State Haj Committee special officer Prof SA Shukoor, the pilgrims will return after performing Haj 2014 from October 20 to November 3.
