Hyderabad, Aug 25 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali on Monday informed that the State Government would soon conduct the survey of land across the Telangana State.
In an informal chat with the media persons at the State Secretariat here, Mahmood Ali said that the land survey would be first of its kind in the country. He said that the success of the Intensive Household Survey has proved that conducting gigantic surveys was not a difficult task. He said that the TRS Government has sought Rs 600 crore from the Centre for the survey. However, the Centre is yet to respond on the request.
Mahmood Ali said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was firm on conducting the survey at any cost. He said that the survey would help the government in identifying the availability of land and their usage. The same statistics would be helpful in schemes land distribution of land to landless poor. He said the last survey on lands was conducted during the regime of last Nizam.
