Hyderabad, Aug 19 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao on Tuesday conducted a review meeting of Inter Departmental Committee comprising Spl. Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of HM&FW, WD&CW, PR&RD, TW, Commissioner MA&UD and CEO, SERP.
During the meeting it was decided to attend to the reduction of infant mortality rate and mother’s mortality rate on priority and since this requires action across the departments, and Inter-Departmental Committee is constituted with Prl.Secy., HM&FW as Chairman, Prl.Secy., WD&CW as the Member-Convener, Prl.Secy., PR&RD, Prl.Secy., TW, Commissioner, Municipal Administration and CEO, SERP as Members. This Committee will not only evolve the guidelines but would also supervise and review the work of the connected field level functionaries with reference to this important programme.
Similarly, it is decided to streamline the procedures with reference to PPP Projects and Projects to be taken on Swiss challenge and an Inter Secretaries Committee is constituted with Prl.Secy., Finance, Prl.Secy., TR&B, Prl.Secy., I&I and others to go through the existing rules, procedures and operationalize systems to take up PPP Projects as well as projects involving Swiss challenge on a large scale to develop infrastructure in the State. This Committee will also look into the issues of delegation of powers for approval of projects at different levels.
It was also decided to have a full proof Grievance mechanism to deal with Public grievances and to refine and make the existing “Prajavani Programme” applicable to all the districts and to the State Level departments as well. Prl.Secy., IT&C is requested to revise it, refine it and operationalise within a week’s time so that all Grievances redressal issues or dealt with on e-Platform. Monday which is already designated as the Grievances Day will continue as such for all offices and it was decided to build up a record of a redressal of grievances so that repetitive requests or dealt with expeditiously and closed and the genuine and new ones are attended to specifically.
The Web-based application for posing projects to Government of India and pursuing them by the Resident Commissioner, developed by IT&C Department were shown to the Secretaries and their suggestions taken for incorporating the same and it was decided from now onwards to upload all the necessary material with reference to the Web-based application and can be viewed and accessed both by the Secretaries as well as the Resident Commissioner’s Office in Delhi.
It was decided to address Government of India for one more Corridor between Hyderabad-Bangalore touching Anantapur and Kurnool Districts.
The officials have also decided to make gardening as a hobby to the School students and accordingly to fix up wherever lands are available, plots of gardening with sprinkler and drip system by roping in the manufacturers. It was decided that this will be coordinated by Prl.Secy., Horticulture and Prl.Secy., School Education.
