Hyderabad, Aug 14 (INN): Representatives of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Hyderabad, Devi Prasad Swamy, Sarwamangala Swamy, Nischala Swamy called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Secretariat on Thursday.
Conveying Swamiji’s blessings the representatives briefed the Chief Minster on their activities. They said that Swami Narayan Gurukul is a prestigious institute in India working since last six decades to keep up and uplift India’s heritage, culture, tradition and values. They told the Chief Minister that the Gurukul Group of Educational Institutes has more than 30 branches in five states including in Telangana at Hyderabad and the USA.
They requested the Chief Minister to provide land to establish Swaminarayan Gurukul University in and around Hyderabad as well as place to establish a eye hospital. Responding positively to their request, the Chief Minister suggested that instead of locating the university in Hyderabad they may go little away in view of the congestion in Hyderabad due to several institutes. He told them that he will identify some suitable place for this purpose shortly. He expressed his desire to visit Aksharadham Temple in New Delhi. The representatives also invited the Chief Minister to visit their Gurukul Educational Institutes.
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padama Devender Reddy, Advisor to Govt. Ramanachary, Principal Secretary to CM N Narsing Rao were present in the meeting.
