KCR orders release of Rs 480 Cr input subsidy for farmers

Hyderabad, Aug 11 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has issued instructions for the release of an amount of Rs 404.58 Crores towards input subsidy to the affected farmers whose agriculture crops damaged due to different natural calamities occurred from 2009-2010 financial year to 2014-2015 financial year.

The Chief Minister has also issued instructions for release of an amount of Rupees 75.84 Crores towards input subsidy to the affected farmers whose agricultural crops were damaged due to hail storms and heavy rains occurred from 2009-2013. Thus the total amount now stands released is Rs 480.42 Crores.

The release of this amount has been pending for a long time and now the amounts are released.

The payment of input subsidy will be done directly to the bank accounts of farmers and payment shall be made within a period of 90 days from the date of release of funds. Every farmer will be entitled for input subsidy for only one disaster for the same agriculture season.
