Hyderabad, Aug 11 (INN): Uppal MLA and BJP senior leader NVSS Prabhakar on Monday expressed fears that the proposed Comprehensive Household Survey would delay the implementation of welfare schemes.
Speaking to media persons here, Prabhakar said that the survey would cause more loss than gain to the people of Telangana. He said people waiting for pension, new ration cards and other benefits would be forced to wait for a longer time. He alleged that the TRS Government has planned the survey only to divert people’s attention from its failures. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was working as a dictator and playing new games to cover up his mistakes.
With regard to special powers to the Governor, Prabhakar asked KCR to withdraw his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi wherein he called him a fascist. He said it was wrong to blame the present NDA Government for the AP Reorganisation Act which was passed during the UPA regime. He said KCR did not object to the provisions of the Bill when it was passed. However, he is now opposing the same at the instance of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen as the latter would lose its grip on the city if Governor takes controls over law and order in Hyderabad.
